Fluoride leaches lead, as does chlorine and chloramine. Cities have been twisting the rules of the first-draw lead test by flushing the lines before testing and using other tricks to minimize the amount of lead found.
Fluoridation increases lead leaching. Fluoridation cannot be left out of the lead leaching debate. Fluoridated water will always contain more lead. If you want to reduce lead leaching, do not fluoridate.
