The bail bond system often puts the poor people in jail who are likely to show up for trial. It often lets those go free who can raise large bail fees. The bail bond system should be abolished. Those who are likely to show up for trial should be released – maybe fitted with an ankle bracelet. Those likely to flee should remain in jail.
