To President Donald J. Trump:

The following petition is submitted both by those who voted for you and those who did not.

In early February of this year your medical doctor blurted out that both he and you take Finasteride, aka Propecia, a drug which promotes hair growth. It works. You both have beautiful hair.

BUT Finasteride has side effects, some of which are: insomnia, drowsiness, brain fog, anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. It can also reduce sexual function.

“Finasteride use leads to decreased concentrations of important hormones in the brain called neurosteroids”.

“A recent study reported that finasteride treatment inhibits hippocampal neurogenesis in mice. As hippocampal neurogenesis has been linked to emotional behavior, this could be of possible relevance for the pathophysiology of affective disorders.”

It is said that you get little sleep. It is said you sometimes suffer from brain fog. These by definition reduce your ability to perform your presidential duties. If your thinking is altered or if you are depressed or suicidal as a result of taking this drug, these also reduce your ability to perform your duties, When you were running for office, you did not disclose your use of Finasteride.

Finasteride is also prescribed to control BPH, enlarged prostate. In return it reduces male sexual performance. There are other drugs for treating BPH and supplements such as beta sitosterol. Eating a vegan diet would help.

Both those of us who voted for you and those who did not join together to say that we would be more comfortable – and the country better off – if you were not taking Finasteride. We do not want a president who does not get enough sleep or who has brain fog or who feels depressed or even suicidal.

We are asking you to stop taking this drug immediately. Finasteride is not an addictive drug, so terminating it should not be difficult. You should be willing to sacrifice even your beautiful hair for your country. You may develop male pattern baldness and even become bald. But you may also suffer less from insomnia and brain fog. You may be able to think more clearly. That to us is more important than your appearance.

In conclusion, please, Mr. President, quit taking mind-altering Finasteride. Please do so immediately.
